David began sensing God’s call for Christian vocational ministry early in his life. However it wasn’t until he entered university and began to travel and see the world; to see its vastness and its neediness that he knew God was calling him to live cross-culturally.
David grew up the middle of three boys, and the son of a pastor. “We moved frequently growing up, made lots of friends, had little money and often wondered why people did the things they did. We saw the whole gamut of church life - the good, the bad, and the ugly.” Because of his upbringing David feels deeply about helping families become all that God has made them to be. David and his wife, Inger, have been married for over 15 years. They have three children, “who keep us very busy and make us very tired.” David enjoys being outside, playing any sport, riding bikes with his kids and being walked by his dogs.

David began sensing God’s call for Christian vocational ministry early in his life. However it wasn’t until he entered university and later began to travel and see the world – to see its vastness and its neediness – that he knew God was calling him to live cross-culturally. After traveling through Eastern Europe, spending time in Africa and India, David returned to school to complete his Masters Degree in Counseling. He then worked with Adoptive and Foster families. During this time, God spoke to David, and in January 2004, he and his family moved to Thailand. David is excited to be working at The Well to see God’s healing and wholeness come to individuals, families and children.
