Family Background:
Roger and his wife, Jan, came to Chiang Mai from Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA. He is the son of Christian workers, who instilled in him a love of God and an interest in full-time Christian service. He feels that God has led him, through many different pathways, to be in Chiang Mai at this point in his life. The position with The Well has challenged and stretched him, while giving an opportunity to see God at work among the people of Asia. Roger and Jan are blessed with 3 wonderful, adult children who, with their spouses, enrich their lives in so many ways. Roger’s hobbies include just about any kind of racket sport, traveling, and reading.
Heartbeat:
“I have had a life-long interest in serving God and in seeing God’s Kingdom come to all nations. Growing up in a Christian family in full-time service, I personally experienced what it is like to live in situations which are unique and stretching. In my professional life as a counselor, I have also seen the struggles that cross-cultural workers have gone through and the need for supportive relationships for them to be able to continue in the work to which they are called.”
